James Brown, et c'est Noël !

James Brown nous a quitté il y a quatre ans, un 25 décembre, Noël qu'il aimait tant pour redistribuer du plaisir autour de lui est donc la meilleure période pour lui rendre hommage. Co-créateur de la Funk, interprète magistral, il avait aussi le talent de trouver et diriger des musiciens parmi les plus doués de leur génération, qui firent de cette alchimie une recette merveilleuse. Une heure à naviguer dans la première partie de carrière de James, écoutes et remue ton corps !

It makes four years that James Brown left us, on the 25th of december. He will last in our memories by the great music he created. I think the Funk Music has been possible through his energy, his talent as a composer, an interpret and a band leader, as he found so great musicians to put on that wonderful type of jam. So listen and shake your body !

Comme d'habitude, c'est un mix pas préparé, un bac de vinyls rempli de bons disques de rap ou Hip Hop, du scratch et des essais, une heure de kif dont j'aimerais encore une fois être plus fier. Mais ça peut vous plaire, quand même, c'est rempli de pépites que j'ai essayé de ne pas massacrer, old school is pure school. Alors, un petit commentaire ? Faites passer le mot !

Miss Loulou Fortissimo - spectacle rare

Pour sa dernière création, Dominique Lannes orchestre un hommage au peintre surréaliste René Magritte, à la Musique et à l'Amour. Son personnage de miss Loulou, incarnation ici de l'univers poètique, tendre et décalé, doit partager l'espace scènique avec deux musiciens emperruqués, un guitariste discret et surtout un pianiste qui reste hermétique à sa douce folie. Chacun son univers, eux ne décrochent pas de leurs notes... Mais c'est sans compter la capacité à se faire remarquer de Miss Loulou, et à entrer dans nos vies. La magie et l'illusion ne sont que quelques uns des atouts de la belle, elle qui vit à la rue, de l'autre coté du périph', dans son carton et peut être au milieu des Roms..

Comme dans un grand réquisitoire muet pour la réconciliation des classes, elle finirait bien, l'air de rien, par amadouer les rois du monde, hautains ubuesques qui ne se déplacent sans leur lustre et dorures.

En ces temps immoraux d'enfermements individualistes, ces scènettes sont des baumes au coeur, entrecoupés de tableaux vivants, personnifications de paysages surréalistes, allusions poétiques ou amusées au plus remarqué des surréalistes belges. Le spectacle est accessible au jeune public, aux handicapés et aux adultes avec une âme.

Zenzile - Ciné-concert du Doc Caligari

Je vous en dirais plus d'ici peu, mais le groupe Zenzile ( plus d'une carte à leur arc, du Dub à l'Indus au Rock au Steppa, jusqu'ici...) s'est lançé dans un nouveau projet qui m'a l'air très sympathique, refaire une bande son à un grand film muet de 1919, "Le Cabinet du Dr Caligari" de Wiener, qui précède Lang et Murnau dans la forme. Le film, c'est un grand thriller, comme on dit 90 ans plus tard. La musique, c'est un grand projet, et il y a des dates pour voir les deux ensemble !

Je plains les petits frères et petites soeurs qui ne connaissent que le rap navrant d'aujourd'hui, ce qui se dit "underground" mais n'est qu'une caricature de violence et de provoc' cherchant un profit facile. On peut être revendicatif ou haineux avec style, mettre du contenu dans ses textes, faire virevolter son flow sur le beat. La preuve par le passé, c'était y a pas si longtemps.. En commençant par un titre d'Aniès et Tepa qui reprend des phases mythiques du rap français, si cela vous échappait.

What a Reggae Party

Once again we are in the reggae vibrations, feel the vibe, relax or react ! It's one hour of good ol'music from Jamaica, except J-Star at the end, which is from Great Britain and nowadays.

C'est tout simple, une heure de sélection de reggae et dub des 70's, si ce n'est J-Star à la fin du mix, qui est anglais et de nos jours. Dans les anciens il n'y a pas que du reggae, il y a une frontière qu'on traverse en quelques années quand un style se crée, mais comme toutes les frontières elle ne veut pas dire grand chose. Du mento au rocksteady, de la soul au lover's rock, ou plutôt des années 60 au années 80 ce sont les mêmes musiciens et producteurs, les mêmes acteurs d'une musique qu'aujourd'hui on compartimente. Le "Do the reggay" de Toots & the Maytals est paraît-il le premier morceau enregistré à parler de ce style, qui est encore une danse à l'époque. Bref, il y a plein de disques et quelques bouquins, pour l'historique, moi je vous ai enchaîné une heure de pépites. J'espère que vous prendrez bien plaisir !

Une émission orientée chanson, en français, du passé et de l'actu, du petit pressage ou du classique. Que dire ? Une pensée pour Mano Solo, Lux B de OaiStar, Nino Ferrer pour qui Manu Dibango était le musicien lead, Boris Vian, Philippe Clay, dont les chansons nous accompagneront encore longtemps. Un bravo pour Mahomed Rouabhi qui transforme le slameur en "slamiste", et c'est fin et c'est drôle, et ça remue un peu. Et une précision sur Lartigo, trio qui est l'évolution du groupe Elzef, et qui joue pas mal en ce moment sur Paris. Ah, et une grande révérence pleine d'admiration pour l'Irrésistible Juliette Noureddine..

Now, it's gems from the past. A few years ago, it were the freshest raps in France and, let's say it, maybe the freshest outside America. Past... Without a word, a too quickly made mix of french' nineties' rap. I don't enjoy every transitions, but there are a lot of good flows, texts, musics in the tunes mixed. It was a great era for creativity in music and poetry in a social consciousness.

Electro, Hip Hop, on ne va pas dire que tout vient du sample mais il y a quand même un terrain commun de jeu, particulièrement à la fin du XXème siècle, que j'ai bien connu. Enregistré d'une traite sans préparation, à l'aide d'un contrôleur midi, un sampleur et une platine à scratchs, j'espère vous plaire et je reviendrais plus fort encore d'ici peu.

On l'attends avec impatience, en mars devrait sortir le nouvel album de Rocé, l'un des derniers bons rappeurs de France. Du coup quelques clips pour retrouver sa plume acerbe et son flow rentre-dedans. Formidable Rocé. En concert à Paris et Sannois(95) en mars, et au Printemps de Bourges en avril.

On s'habitue, de son premier album Top départ, tout est déjà là, et la construction du morceau le classe au rayon Orfèvrerie du rap des années 90, dont il est issu, même si ce disque est sorti en 2001. Le parfait prolongement du travail de Fabe, aussi, et ils ont d'ailleurs collaboré sur le dernier album de celui-ci, en 2000, avant qu'il ne quitte la musique.
