What a Reggae Party

Once again we are in the reggae vibrations, feel the vibe, relax or react ! It's one hour of good ol'music from Jamaica, except J-Star at the end, which is from Great Britain and nowadays.

C'est tout simple, une heure de sélection de reggae et dub des 70's, si ce n'est J-Star à la fin du mix, qui est anglais et de nos jours. Dans les anciens il n'y a pas que du reggae, il y a une frontière qu'on traverse en quelques années quand un style se crée, mais comme toutes les frontières elle ne veut pas dire grand chose. Du mento au rocksteady, de la soul au lover's rock, ou plutôt des années 60 au années 80 ce sont les mêmes musiciens et producteurs, les mêmes acteurs d'une musique qu'aujourd'hui on compartimente. Le "Do the reggay" de Toots & the Maytals est paraît-il le premier morceau enregistré à parler de ce style, qui est encore une danse à l'époque. Bref, il y a plein de disques et quelques bouquins, pour l'historique, moi je vous ai enchaîné une heure de pépites. J'espère que vous prendrez bien plaisir !
