I felt in love with rap in 1990, for a decade, before leaving it for Funk and Jazz that I discovered thanks to Hip Hop, thanks to producers like Primo and Pete Rock. I have no idea of what is the 21st century rap, and I don't really care. Here is a dope mix of big tunes from the 1990's, only one french track, half are classics (I think; they're all classics for me) and some are rare : the Buckshot Lefonque Remix is from a 1994's 12, the ODB freestyle is totally unreleased on wax, I took it in a documentary. Tell me if you like these sounds from the past, I could mix a complete year in this style.
Un amour de jeunesse, qui m'a amené vers la Funk et le Jazz. Le rap des années 90 est diversifié mais il a dans l'ensemble un son bien particulier que j'apprécie toujours autant, je vous ai mis dans ce mix d'une heure des classiques et des raretés, même un inédit d'ODB en cerise sur le gâteau. J'aurais de quoi mixer dans ce style une année entière et continue, alors dites-moi si vous aimez, j'y reviendrais.
